The Story Behind Our First Published Book, DEFIANCE!
When we decided to publish this book, "DEFIANCE! Maine Poets Protest the Attack on American Democracy," our challenge was to send out a call to poets to submit their works expressing personal disappointments with our newest president.
However, despite our concerns, our requests were amply fulfilled. In fact, we received poems from 41 Maine poets, which are proudly presented in this book (See the list of names on the back cover, ABOVE).
